We’re rapidly scaling our core offering across the Midwest, and are looking for an energetic and ambitious Inside Sales professional to join our team. The Inside Sales team works directly with Pattern’s Regional Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing teams to deliver vetted and qualified sales leads by positioning our value and educating seed dealers and ag retailers on our product platform. This includes using automated email sequences, making outbound cold calls and fielding inbound calls. We are looking for someone who brings experience in production agriculture or an adjacent sector. The right person for the role will be excited to represent Pattern with potential customers, is comfortable making cold calls, and is eager to learn how to speak expertly about our products. You will report directly to the VP of Corporate Operations and will get comprehensive exposure to the company’s sales strategy and sales leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Sales Operations team to find, manage, and maintain customer lists to drive sales efforts
  • Execute outbound calls to prospective customers, selling the vision and value Pattern analyses and gathering qualification information about the customer
  • Handoff warm leads to the respective regional sales manager and ensure this is a smooth transition
  • Coordinate with regional sales manager on sales funnel management
  • Develop and iterate on call scripts to increase lead velocity, quality of leads, and call conversion rates
  • Track activities in company’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and monitor call conversion rates for continuous improvement
  • Provide feedback to product team and leadership

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Agriculture or a related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in inside sales or outside sales function within a high growth organization
  • Understanding of production agriculture and familiarity with retail and seed channel required
  • Experience with solution sales and a consultative sales approach
