Position

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated service contractors to provide support as soil sampling technicians for a soil measurement project in the agricultural regions of Mato Grosso, Brazil.


As a Soil Sampling Technician on a service contract basis, you will play a crucial role in conducting soil measurements using our FarmLab device, a specialized portable instrument that combines optical and electrical sensors to provide real-time soil analysis. Additionally, you will be responsible for taking soil samples using an auger and assisting with the shipment of these samples to local laboratories. Your contributions will be vital to the success and local support of our innovative Stenon technology.


Project Location: State of Mato Grosso, Brazil
Period: July to August. 2024
You will
  • Conduct soil measurements using the FarmLab device to obtain real-time soil analysis.

  • Collect soil samples using an auger and hammer with precision and care.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate data collection.

  • Transport soil samples to local laboratories.

  • Assist international team with Brazilian interpretation.

  • Handle other tasks assigned by the team leader

You have
  • Having a CNPJ and being able to create a tax invoice

  • Valid driving license.

  • No experience with soil sampling or field work is required, but would be a plus

  • Physical fitness and endurance to perform repetitive, physically demanding tasks in specific field conditions.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Willingness to travel and work in various field locations within Mato Grosso.

  • A basic understanding of local agricultural practices and conditions is advantageous.

  • Knowledge of simple/daily English required (minimum B1 level)
