The Role:
We are searching for a Director of Product Marketing who has a passion for CPG ingredients / the food industry and who has a proven track record of taking novel products from zero to one. This is the perfect role for a product marketing strategist who isn’t afraid of rolling up their sleeves and driving product-market fit. Ideal candidates are experienced team builders, thrive in fast-paced environments, and are able to create and execute new game plans where none currently exist. You'll lead commercial enablement at EVERY, focusing on product positioning, consumer insights, customer traction, and market expansion initiatives for EVERY’s B2B food ingredients.
What you'll accomplish
- Product Positioning & Messaging: Develop and refine the positioning and messaging of our food ingredient product lines, ensuring they resonate with our B2B audience and differentiate our offerings in a competitive market. A clear vision for driving a branded ingredient strategy.
- Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis: Keep a pulse on the food industry, conducting ongoing market research and competitive analysis to inform product development and marketing strategies.
- Product Launch & Lifecycle Management: Oversee the go-to-market strategy for new product launches, including timing, marketing mix, and sales enablement.
- Customer Segmentation & Targeting: Identify and segment target customers, developing tailored marketing strategies that address the needs and challenges of different customer groups within the B2B food industry.
- Content Strategy & Development: Partner with EVERY’s Creative Director to create sales and marketing content that supports EVERY’s product strategy, including sales collateral, website content, case studies, and promotional materials.
- Cross-functional team Leadership: Collaborate with sales and product development teams to ensure product offerings meet market demands.
- Performance Metrics & Analysis: Define and track key metrics to assess the effectiveness of product marketing initiatives, adjusting strategies based on performance data and market feedback
What you bring (required)
- Proven Experience: 8+ years of product marketing experience, specifically within the food industry, branded ingredients, or other CPG ingredient fields. Demonstrated success in developing and implementing product marketing strategies that have driven growth and market share.
- Strategic Thinker: Ability to think strategically about complex issues, breaking down barriers between product features and customer benefits.
- Action Bias: Able to roll up your sleeves, get out in the field, put concepts to the test, and learn in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills, comfortable using data to drive decisions and measure success.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for crafting compelling product stories.
- Leadership: Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing projects from conception through execution.
Nice-to-have (but not required)
- Food, food tech, biotech, or ingredients industry experience or familiarity
- Prior startup experience in an operator role
- MBA degree
- Experience launching innovative products within FMCG or Food Service.

Pay Range: $161,000 - $203,000
At EVERY™ pay ranges are subject to change and assigned to a job based on the location specific market median of similar jobs according to 3rd party salary benchmark surveys. Individual pay within that range can vary for several reasons including skills/capabilities, experience, and available budget.
