We're looking for an exceptional Manager, Pharma Business Development to play an exciting leadership role in a critical strategic space, helping to build a transformative company!

The Manager, Pharma Business Development will develop and execute our go-to-market strategy in the healthcare and pharmaceutical space. This will include evaluating market needs and mapping them to Triplebar's technology, identifying potential partners, building relationships, establishing estimates of value, guiding projects through scoping, and leading negotiation and contracting. You will utilize your network of relationships within the healthcare and pharmaceutical space to guide business development and develop our pharma strategy.

The Role

  • Develop and execute Triplebar's strategy and manage the partnership opportunity pipeline for the healthcare and pharmaceutical space
  • Continue to grow the market presence in the biotech/pharmaceutical space for Triplebar's platform as a service offering in the biologics drug development value chain
  • Define and execute on Triplebar's external facing marketing plan, including conference attendance, thought leadership opportunities, etc.
  • Deliver contractual agreements based on corporate objectives with appropriate milestone targets
  • Identify, cultivate, and execute partnerships that create value for both Triplebar and our partners
  • Collaborate internally and externally with technical teams to develop technical approaches and ensure that Triplebar delivers to its partners
  • Refine core external messaging of Triplebar's technology, opportunities and differentiation specific to healthcare and pharmaceuticals
  • Discover and capture industry and customer needs to refine the Triplebar strategy and product development pipeline
  • Contribute to the overall strategic direction of Triplebar as a key commercial voice, including business model development and proposing strategic alliances

Required Skills and Background

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in field sales, business development, or product management with a focus in biologics drug discovery and related service businesses
  • Strong market research, analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Deep market expertise in healthcare and pharma, including a network of senior relationships with decision makers in healthcare and pharmaceutical companies, including business, product, and R&D leadership
  • Experience in the full BD lifecycle from qualifying partners to designing, negotiating, contracting, and delivering on complex partnerships that may include royalties, IP, etc.
  • Extensive experience working with innovative technologies and partnering needs in product development and production
  • Ability to shape a compelling narrative about Triplebar's technology and differentiation in the healthcare and pharmaceutical market
  • Ability to build trust and maintain strong relationships with external clients/customers
  • Demonstrated ability to build a strategy by synthesizing information, creating a vision and translating that into a healthcare and pharma-specific plan
  • Technical/scientific background and understanding of specification processes in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry
  • Growth mindset and the desire to give and receive feedback to improve their teammates and themselves

Preferred Skills and Background

  • Experience in a high-growth company, preferably in the biotechnology space
  • Experience establishing partnerships for novel technologies and applications
  • Experience in negotiating contractual agreements
  • An advanced STEM degree and/or industry experience as a Bench Scientist or Engineer
  • Proactive self-starter who can hit the ground running based on relevant experience

The annual base pay range for this position is anticipated to be $130,000 - $165,000 however the base pay offered may vary depending on location, market, job related knowledge, skills and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes equity and benefits.
